Not only is she armed with a useless wooden sword, but he is riding on an elephant and is armed with a long spear. On the first pass she avoids being either trampled or speared by cartwheeling out of the elephants path. On the second pass she does a handspring off the elephant's trunk, then locking her legs around the Emperor's neck, she breaks his neck. The Emperor Commodus lies upon the elephant's back as it continues circling the arena and the gladiatrix stands triumphant with one foot planted upon the Emperor's massive chest.
